Join Hackney Nappy Network and Wrapahug Sling Library for a reusable nappy demonstration and newborn sling demo.
Every month they will be at Hackney Central Library, where Esther and Joy from Nappy Ever After will tell you everything you need to know about reusable cloth nappies. Their friendly and informal demonstraion is for anyone who is interested to learn more about reusable nappies, whether you are an expectant parents or you are already using nappies. All welcome! No need to book, just show up at 10am!
The talk will start at 10am and last approx 40 mins. The session will cover:
-the different kinds of reusable nappies
-the newborn stage
-washing guidance
-other local nappy initiatives.
-troubleshooting.
– Show different sling options for newborns/small babies
– Explain safety and positioning
– Demo slings and explain how they work
– Show how to feed in the slings
– Answer your questions.

Join us for a reusable nappy demo! Are you looking for essential guidance and advice to help you get started with reusable nappies? We’re here to help. Join us at any one of our upcoming reusable nappy events in the City of Westminster.
The events are open to all living in Westminster, whether you’re new or already started with reusable nappies. At the event, you will have the opportunity to learn about reusable nappies, ask questions, and understand the Real Nappies for London voucher incentive scheme.
Please let us know you’re coming by booking your free ticket via Eventbrite. You can also turn up on the day!
Voucher Incentive Scheme: To qualify for a £70 reusable nappy voucher, you will need to provide Real Nappies for London with the following supporting evidence:
- Proof of identity: e.g., your driver’s licence, passport or birth certificate.
- Proof of address/low-income: a recent council tax letter with your name and address showing that you receive council tax reduction.
- Proof of pregnancy/birth: an official document showing your name and the child’s expected date of delivery or date of birth (e.g. MatB1 form, Baby’s Birth Certificate, Hospital Scan Report letter). Your NHS Prescription Charge Card is also acceptable. For multiple births, please provide the hospital scan report. You will receive one voucher per baby.
You can apply in-person at the scheduled events. Remember to bring your supporting evidence with you on the day!
Nappy Ever After‘s shop is open every Tuesday afternoon, 2pm – 5pm for drop-in reusable nappy demonstrations to see, touch and learn about reusable nappies, as well as having the opportunity to buy. You can redeem your reusable nappy voucher at Nappy Ever After (in-person or online) for either: a trial pack worth £64.15, reusable nappies of your choice, or contribute your voucher towards a paid-for weekly washable nappy laundry service, which delivers freshly laundered prefold nappies to your door. Reusable nappy celebration – if your baby/toddler already wears reusable nappies or you’re thinking about switching from single-use nappies and want to find out more, this event is for you!
Join Nappy Ever After for a reusable nappies demonstration for the end of Reusable Nappy Week – see, touch and discuss the different types of reusable nappies, how to wash them and more.
Nappy Ever After is close to Old Street Station, Hoxton Station, City Road bus stops or a short walk from Regent’s Canal – exit tow path via slope at Shepherdess Walk.
Please book Saturday demonstrations via the Nappy Ever After website. Space is limited and there is often high demand, they charge a £5 refundable booking deposit. You can use it as credit towards a purchase at Nappy Ever After, or have a refund. Please cancel at least 6 hours before and we can postpone your place or give you a refund.
Nappy Ever After is also open every Tuesday afternoon, 2pm – 5pm. No need to book, just show up!

– arrange a free loan kit
– if you have voucher scheme nappies at home you’ve finished with, you can drop them off here to either swap or hand back to Herefordshire Council.

Maybe you’ve started reading around the internet and are finding your mind boggled by the variety of choices on offer, or have questions about all of the conflicting washing advice, or you aren’t sure how to store your nappies…… We can help!
This group learning session will introduce you to all of the main types of modern cloth nappies available, explain how to store and care for your nappies, demonstrate how to fit correctly, and how to troubleshoot leaks and other issues.
There will be the opportunity to try fitting some nappies onto a doll, try folding a Terry towel to see how simple it can be, and get all of your questions answered in a friendly group environment.
