Join Hackney Real Nappy Network IN PERSON in REUSABLE NAPPY WEEK to find out all you need to know about reusable nappies. Whether you are pregnant and wondering where to start or you have a little one and are considering using reusable nappies, or you have started and need help, we are here for you!
VENUE: THE FIXAGON, Penn St, London N1 5FD – a super cool and spacious new vegan cafe and events space right next to Shoreditch Park, in the south of Hackney. It is very easily accessible by bike, or by bus routes 394 from Homerton or Hackney Central, or the 76 or 141 from Stoke Newington.They are very generously hosting us so if you are able to, please consider supporting them by having a drink or snack while you listen!
The demo will start at 10am. It will last approximately 40 minutes and we will explain the different types of reusable nappy, how to use, store, wash, with a Q+A at the end. Joy from www.nappyeverafter.co.uk will also be on hand with a pop-up shop where you can spend your voucher and/or sign up to their nappy laundry service. Brands stocked include BumGenius, Thirsties wraps, Disana, Totsbots, and their own brand organic cotton prefolds.
We have recently joined forces with Mel who runs Wrap a Hug Sling Library, to provide a joint event together! Double the help from the one journey, woop! Mel will bring her sling library and do a newborn sling demo from 11am, so perfect if you are expecting or already have a newborn and want to get some general tips or specific help, or get your sling hire sorted for your little one.
